The social is a new road cycling event hosted by TICCC and T2D Coffee Club. Think less sportive, more social movement. Less ego, more soul. This event is for riders who prioritise feel-good, freedom, and connection.

This small and socially focused event takes place on Saturday, 20th June. It will be held at the T2D Coffee Club in the village of Burwell, Cambridgeshire. The cafe is located at the Type 2 Detectives’ classic car workshop, so expect great coffee in the surroundings of beautifully made things.

After a complimentary welcome coffee, the ‘social ride’ will take you on a thoughtfully curated route through the beautiful Cambridgeshire and Suffolk countryside.

Post-ride, our ‘social space’ offers an opportunity to dwell, relax and stay a while. Expect good tunes, great food and other activities.

‘social ride’

The route will take you through the beautiful landscapes of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. Starting in Burwell, we head towards some rolling hills and Newmarket, the headquarters of British horse racing. The pace will be social. However, for those who want to stretch their legs, there will be a Strava hill challenge en route.

Two distance options:
_Heroes 50km, 330m climbing (approximately 2hrs ride time)
_Legends 75km, 550m climbing (approximately 3hrs ride time)

‘social space’ 
11:00 – 15:00 
Stay a while! Dwell, relax and connect with your fellow heroes and legends. Expect good tunes, great food and other activities.

The ticket price includes:
_Welcome coffee and refreshment drink during the ride
_2 routes to choose from, including GPX route files
_Friendly & supportive support riders to keep you running smoothly
_A post-ride social space with music, refreshments and post-ride activities
