Rain/ wind gilet – Black
Jackets & gilets
The gilet uses a ‘made in Italy’ direct venting membrane technology. It is 100% waterproof and is exceptionally breathable when compared to traditional PU membranes. PU membrane technology only begin to vent sweat once the fabric becomes wet. Direct venting membranes have billions of microscopic pores which instantly vent sweat, keeping you in the ‘dry zone’.
The shape and cut of the rain/ wind gilet is a result of the perfect balance between freedom of movement and the reduction of fabric in specific areas to reduce wind flap/ drag. The panels have been designed to move seams away from the main rain and wind prone areas. The result is a tailored race ready, unisex, performance garment.
The fabric weight has been carefully chosen to provide additional protection for more extreme conditions, yet still allows the gilet to be folded down and fit in a rear jersey pocket. This makes the gilet the perfect layering ‘shell’ for both summer and winter riding. We have intentionally omitted a pocket in favour of developing a rear panel construction that allows easy access to jersey pockets. Pockets in rain wear provide an opportunity for rain seepage and also hinder the efficient folding of the garment. The gilet has reflective dots and TIC CC details which provide excellent visibility for other road users during poor light conditions.

The largest carbon footprint of a garment’s lifecycle is generated through laundering. Our fabrics are selected for their quick dry/ odour resistant qualities. This means you don’t always need to wash your kit after every use. When possible substitute washing for air drying.
When the time comes to launder your garment, wash at low temperatures, do not exceed 30˚C. Use a plastic free mild detergent. To maintain maximum performance do not use fabric softeners or bleach. When washed air or line dry, ideally away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry, wring out or iron. To further protect your TIC CC kit and our planet we recommend you use the Guppyfriend washing bag.
To maintain the performance of your rain wear we suggest regular treatment with a fluorine free, vegetable based DWR.
To maintain the appearance of your rain wear we suggest you keep the outer woven layer away from abrasive materials, such as velcro.
